In this Science Fiction story,
Detective Robert Miers is in trouble. His partner is missing, he’s suspended from work, and he’s got a gap in his memory that he can’t explain.
Uncovering the truth means plunging into a bizarre new reality far beyond his comfort zone, an inescapable reality where memories can transfer from body to body, secret factions fight for control, and human life extends far beyond Earth.
Is taking sides worth the risk-to his job, to his family, and to himself? And does he even get to choose anymore?
A little bit about the author:
Science fiction has always been a part of Dorian's imagination. At an early age he wrote his first short story but as he progressed in life, school and other activities took center stage. Years later, once he graduated from college with a Biology degree, and got married, he decided to get back to his passion, writing science fiction.
1. What inspired this story?
This story is heavily inspired by a picture of myself and my grandfather on our respective wedding dates. It almost looks like a mirrored image of myself, or my grandfather's. And for anyone that reads the story, my grandfather has passed away and I still love him.
2. Who/what/where inspires you?
I draw inspiration from everything, from pictures, to sound bits to full on movies.
3. Who's your favorite character and why?
Robert Miers, the main character. He has to deal with issues that he never thought were even possible.
4. Favorite memory while writing this story?
Realizing that the book was turning to be about the picture of my grandfather and me.
5. Do you have any more books in the works?
Yes, I have a work in progress.
6.What was your first book and how old were you?
I wrote my first "book" when I was about 7 years old. It was about 10 lines long. A tale about myself and my neighbor witnessing a UFO landing. You can't see my face now but I'm actually smiling.
7. What do you like to do when you're not writing?
Listening to music, hiking, visiting new places.
8. What message would you like to send to your readers?
To my dear readers: I appreciate every single one of you. Whether you like my work or not.
9. Any advice for other writers?
I know you will understand me when I say that in those darkest hours, when it feels like you are the sole survivor of an entire civilization. As you cling for your life on top of a rock in the middle of an ocean that wants to take everything you have while waves mecilessly try to drag you down and drown you in despair. Keep going, keep writing, you have the power to overcome and drag an entire continent from the depths with your creative imagination.
